It seems that every day, virtual movers and shakers are introducing new products and systems to make our lives a little bit easier. Bluetooth technology is one of the biggest advances to hit the market. Bluetooth wireless technology makes it easy and convenient for users to enjoy wire-free, short-range communication between devices. It is a globally available standard that connects portable computers, mobile phones, MP3 players and even cars, all without wires. People who use Bluetooth technology enjoy communication without any ties, so it only makes sense to have the right wireless headsets.

Manufacturers have found that it’s not easy to create a really good wireless headset for Bluetooth. On the contrary, it is much more difficult that designing wired models. Bluetooth headsets can never be as small or as light as wired headsets, simply because the battery and extra functions must be included all in one unit. This extra size impacts how the headset mounts on or around the users’ ears.

There are two main styles of Bluetooth headsets. The more comfortable, yet less secure models are held into place with a loop around the ear. Others are “earbud” styles that are placed directly inside the opening of the ear. More secure, but certainly less comfortable.

When you are shopping for Bluetooth headsets, take the following points into consideration:

Cost
This is an obvious issue. Prices range from the affordable to the truly lavish, so you might have to shop around to compare prices before you choose.

Ergonomics
Comfort should be your primary consideration, as users typically spend a great deal of time with Bluetooth headsets.
- Check to see if the device can be removed and replaced from your ear quickly and conveniently
- Make sure that the control buttons on the headset are easy to use
- If you wear glasses, be sure that the device can be used while you are wearing eyeglasses, or sunglasses
- Some calls can take a long time. Make sure that your Bluetooth headset will be comfortable after an extended period of time
- Try wearing the device in both ears. You may want to switch side to side for comfort or convenience
- Compare Bluetooth headsets to see which are the lightest. Weight is a very important consideration, as you don’t want the device to cause discomfort or fall off
- See if the headsets come with a carry case. You’ll need to store or transport it when not in use

Ease of use
Some gadgets meant to make our lives easier, only cause frustration.
- Commands and controls should be easy to use and remember
- Be sure that the volume level is easy to adjust. If you’re on a call that lasts from your office to the subway station, you’ll need to be able to adjust the volume quickly and easily
- You’re shopping for Bluetooth headsets to enjoy the latest in instant communications, so make sure that the headset you choose turns on quickly
- Make sure that a support number is provided to call if you need guidance or if you have a problem with the device
- Check the manual. It should be well written and easy to understand

Features
Not all Bluetooth headsets are created equally. There are a variety of features that may or may not be included in the one you choose.
- Ask about the battery. Know the type of battery, how much talk time it can hold, and how to tell if it’s fully charged or losing charge
- Don’t assume that the Bluetooth headsets you choose can be paired with every one of your wireless devices. Check and verify this before you buy
- Does the headset carry a good warranty? Who will you call for service if you have a problem?
- Check the sound quality for receiving and sending audio
- How is the range? The headset won’t be much good to you if the range keeps you tied to your home or office

There are other important capabilities to consider in comparing Bluetooth headsets. Voice tags, transfer calls, three-way calling, last number redial, call reject, link to other phones and mute options are all convenient features. Check to see how it looks on you. You might not want a headset that is large and obvious, or you may prefer a model that stands out.

While technology changes our lives, it also shapes our lives. Using Bluetooth headsets gives us the freedom to stay connected without being tied down.

Cordless Headsets: Advantages & Uses

Cordless headsets are basically used with either your cordless phone or cell phone. The reason behind the headset is to have your hands free for other activities. For example, you could do dishes while talking on the phone or taking out the trash. The headset is perfect for people who lead very busy lives, for the mom who has to go grocery shopping, take the kids to practice and discuss things over the telephone at the same time.
Cordless headsets are perfect for people who need to multi-task. With the headset your hands are free to do other things. For example a secretary can talk, type and file all at the same time. Business men can accomplish many things at one time by using a headset, so they will get done quicker to allow time for more important things. A person can exercise and talk on the phone at the same time, as well. Also, it makes driving and talking on your phone much safer than if you were holding the phone up to your ear.
The cordless headset can come in a variety of different styles. One style is the type that goes over the top of your head with padded speakers to minimize outside noise. Another great style goes around the back of your head, also with padded speakers. We can’t forget the style that goes just over one ear and one that just has a small ear plug. The first two styles are much better than the second two. The first two do a great deal to minimize noise while the other two styles of headsets do not.
There are many different brands of cordless headsets. Here is a list of some of the different brand names that you will find. Plantronics, Logitech, AT&T, VTech, Uniden and Ingenuis. However, there are many other brands, but these were just a few examples. There are also headsets designed for the hearing impaired, that will give anyone who has a hearing problem a louder volume for ease of use.
Cordless headsets are great for people who might take a lot of dictation so their hands are free to type, it is also true for people who are Transcriptionist. The headsets that have the padded speakers are best so they can hear every word clearly, which makes their job easier.
Cordless headsets are very popular and very useful in this day and time when everyone is in a hurry and trying to accomplish many things at one time. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day so people try to do as many things at one time that they can. It is not uncommon today to see people at the shopping center or the office that are using a headset. We accomplish a lot today, but the headset lets us do it quicker so we can spend our time doing things we enjoy.
The cordless headset has changed the way we do things and the speed in which we get things accomplished. There are some people that could not get through the day without using a headset. It has become a part of some people’s lives and they could not function without it. Certain people might have thought it was a passing phase but the headset will be around a long time and is getting more and more popular all the time. They are also becoming more sophisticated as the years go by.

Help Reduce Your Brain’s Exposure to Cell Phone Radiation – Blue Tube Headset Review

If you are like most people today, you have a cell phone in your pocket or purse at this very moment. We as a society have become quite dependent on our communication devices. What you may or may not know, and what startled me when I found out was the idea that cell phones can emit radiation!

As with any statement of this magnitude, there will be those who say that it is junk science or just pure non-sense; however, we must remember how long it took for the effects of smoking to show up. It was years before anyone dared say that smoking was harmful to your health, and look at the reports now.

Cell phones depend on waves to transmit data and these waves have the potential to interfere with your body at a cellular level, (no pun intended). If you have doubts about the potential damage, a cell phone can do to say your brain after long hours of use consider this: In Japan it is illegal to use your cell phone on the train when close to the area designated for the elderly or infirm. Do you know why this is? Because cell phone waves can interrupt pacemakers and other medical devices!

Apparently distance is the key to keeping people safe with mobile phones, however if you are going to make a call the phone must be right next to a very important organ, your brain! For this reason and many others, people have begun to use wired and Bluetooth headsets. These devices keep the potentially harmful radiation from your phone far from your brain. This is a good start to preserving health, but if you are like me, you are wondering if this is the best answer. A wireless headset must use some form of waves to transmit sound, wired headsets are connected to the phone, and those wires run right up to your ear.

This left me in quite a quandary about what to do, not only for myself but for my teenagers as well. I am not an alarmist, however when you are talking about radiation and the potential of getting cancer it is wise to at least look into some alternatives. If you can find a safer way for using cell phones that could protect you and your family from damage, why not?

I found a neat little device from Mercola called the Blue tube. This small headset includes a blue tube to distance your brain from the potentially harmful radiation waves. As with the example above of cell phone proximity to pacemakers and other devices, the evidence is clear that the more distance between mobile phones and you the better. For a few dollars I have a great headset that allows me to talk hands free and with the assurance that I am doing everything possible to protect myself and family from possible radiation damage. How much is your peace of mind worth?

Guide to Choosing Bluetooth Headsets

If you like gadgets that sizzle, chances are that you cannot do without Bluetooth headsets. Hands-free, wireless and comfortable – what more do you want? That is why there has been an explosion in the number of Bluetooth headsets which in its turn, has brought in an astonishing range of cell phones and other devices that can be integrated with the Bluetooth technology.

With so many models in the market, you might need some help in choosing the right Bluetooth headset. Here are a few pointers:

Fit: What you need is a perfect and comfortable fit. Of course, small and light is good enough, which is why you must give bulky models a wide berth. You might find that models that with an ear-clip to hold the headset in place is a good idea. When we say small, you might be tempted to go with those tiny headsets that fit right into the ear canal. These are comfy alright, but if they are not a perfect fit, they will pop out. It is much better to look for Bluetooth headsets that have a variety of ear adapters.

Quality: High quality headsets are tested for quality before they enter the market. Therefore, most of these have excellent voice quality. Excellent voice quality is a must because these make it possible for you to hear music over other disturbances like traffic noise or windy conditions.

Pairing: Pairing is a simple process in which one Bluetooth enabled device searches for and recognizes another Bluetooth enabled device. Once this ‘connection’ is made, the two devices will start ‘talking’! Many headsets allow you to initiate pairing with the touch of a button. In a single-point pairing, one headset can pair only with a single device. In order to pair with a second device, it must disconnect from the first one. Multipoint pairing allows you to pair one headset with multiple devices. The connection is automatic once the headset detects the device.

Convenience: Just like your mobile phone or iPhone, the Bluetooth headsets also run on stored power, which means that once the existing power is used up, you have to charge the device to run it again. Some headsets run for 8 hours, while others run for 4 hours only. Most headsets ship with a charger that can fixed to the wall. A few also have USB ports that allow you to charge them from the computer. A car charger is convenient.

Usefulness:

Bluetooth headsets are generally made with a number of handy features. For instance, mono headsets can sit just as easily in either ear. Many headsets have the mute button. You also have a call hold mute that comes very handy when you want to talk to someone face-to-face without cutting the other call. Volume control and redial features are also attractive. If you have a particular use in mind, check out of the headset you choose supports it.

Why it’s about time you got a Bluetooth headset

When it comes to shopping for cool, new electronics, there are two types of people: the early adopters and the late-comers. Early adopters spend hours online poring over press releases and product announcements – gathering information about when and where they can be the first on their block to pick up a new gizmo. Late comers wait until they’ve had a chance to review all the pros and cons of a product, and only jump in to the fray when they feel there’s value to be hadIn the hands-free year of 2009, we’re at the stage that late-comers love – a great product with an awesome selection and much lower prices than ever before. Yes, it is time to buy a Bluetooth.Five reasons why it’s time to buy a BluetoothReason #1: It’s the lawMany states (including California and New York) have now passed laws that ban handset use for cell phone calls made and received while driving. Rather than risk getting a ticket (or more, importantly putting lives in danger) it is time to make a small investment in the best way to use a cell phone while in the car. There was a rush to Bluetooth sellers on the day these laws were enacted, and the rush has showed no signs of slowing down ever since (especially when individuals began to see their fellow drivers pulled over and ticketed for not using one).Reason #2: SelectionNow, there are more makes and models of Bluetooth compatible headsets available than ever before. From the large line of Motorola hands-free units to the cutting edge design of the Jawbone 2, consumers have a number of choices in terms of features, style and size.Reason #3: The PriceWith the sheer number of options available, the price of Bluetooth headsets has come way down as well. In an effort to clear room for this year’s latest models, online cell phone accessories dealers are offering some of the lowest price ever seen on even the highest-end units. In particular, shoppers who go online for their Bluetooth headsets are able to find resellers offering low prices on many of the top brands. These devices have all the cool features consumers want, but are overstocked and need to be marked down considerably in order to move product.Reason #4: The TechnologyWhen the first families of hands-free headsets were releases to the public, the quality was spotty at best, with dropped calls and poor reception reported often by consumers. The latest Bluetooth headsets, however, offer crystal clear reception – and give individuals the power to make hands-free calls in noisy traffic or busy restaurants alike.Reason #5: The StyleAt first, many people were hesitant to place a large black earpiece in their ear and walk around seemingly talking to themselves. But the look and feel of hands-free headsets has advanced right along with the technology. Now, companies like Jawbone are making headset devices that are as much of a fashion statement as any accessory picked up down at the mall.

Bluetooth Iphone Accessories: Bluetooth Iphone Wireless Headset Review

When you look at the iphone, it’s hard to argue with the notion that it’s really ahead of all the other smartphones when it comes to style, functionality and looks. Yes, the iphone is in a category all by itself and therefore you’ve also got to find a great looking Bluetooth headset that compliments your phone perfectly.

When it comes to buying Bluetooth accessories for the iphone, a quality headset is essential to how well you’ll be able to enjoy using your new smartphone. Fortunately, there are several top-notch wireless headsets that will fit your needs.

VXI BlueParrott B100 Wireless Headset

The VXI BlueParrott is a professional headset that is ergonomically designed for comfort. It has a noise canceling microphone, which you’ll appreciate if you’re going to be using your iphone in an office environment. It has a 75 foot range, but that seems to vary a bit depending on the area. The clarity is pretty good, but you may sound a little muffled to some callers. This headset is also compatible with standard desk phones.

Plantronics Voyager 510 Wireless Headset

The Plantronics Voyager is truly a new age headset. It can switch back and forth between your iphone, your PDA or laptop. This is really a smart headset that can detect which device you are using at the time, pretty cool, huh?

It’s comfortable and has excellent sound clarity on both ends. If you’re looking for great style, unfortunately, this headset doesn’t have it, in fact, it looks pretty basic, plus it’s a bit bulky, but if you love functionality, this is one you should really consider.

Jawbone Noise Shield Wireless Headset

If you love style, the Jawbone is your kind of headset. It has a very modern, futuristic design that will make you look cool when wearing it. It’s noise canceling system works like a charm to block out surrounding noise. It can also be worn in either ear.

That sleek design comes at a price. The control buttons are hidden on the back, something you’ll get used to once you use these for a day or so. Also, it’s a little bigger than some other headsets, but it’s also very lightweight. A major problem seems to be trying to get a proper fit that’s comfortable. It’s recommended that you try all of the earbuds and hooks that come with the unit until it fits properly.

Gomadic Wireless Headset

Gomadic claims that this is the best iphone wireless headset around. Indeed, it has a nice, sleek design and digital noise reduction. The talk time is 12 hours. However, these are not specially made for the iphone, since they are compatible with other phones, as well. The scoop is that Gomadic is attaching itself to the iphone for marketing reasons. Therefore, don’t buy these because Gomadic claims they’re the best, compare these with all the other models and make up your own mind.

As you can see, there are lots of great wireless headsets that are a good fit with your new iphone. When choosing one, it’ll come down to your own personal preferences for size, style and functionality. It’s quite possible that you’ll choose more than one headset. Whichever you buy, make sure you’re getting your money’s worth – your iphone deserves it.

Aliph Jawbone 2 Is The Best Sounding Bluetooth Headset In The World.

Well Aliph has listened because the new Aliph Jawbone 2 has laid those negatives to rest. Not only is it smaller and lighter, the Jawbone 2 also has a simpler ear hook design and a fancy new look that leaves its predecessor in the dust. Superior in design, the Aliph Jawbone 2 has left behind its competitors such as Pama, Parrot and Jabra way behind. Though high priced, Aliph gives value for money products, so people are ready to shell out the money. The new Aliph Jawbone 2 is 50 percent smaller than the original, and steps up the noise elimination with DARPA approved Noise Assassin technology. The new headset also offers improved looks, thanks to its textured exterior and touch sensitive buttons, and lasting battery life, with 4 hours of talk time and up to 8 days of standby service.

If you spend any time on your cell phone and are in the market for a new Bluetooth headset, go buy the Aliph Jawbone 2 right now. It took about one week for the Aliph Jawbone 2 to arrive at my house. Now you can connect the Aliph Jawbone 2 to you mobile phone using Bluetooth and you’re ready to talk with style.

The Aliph Jawbone 2 is available now in black for $129.99, though silver and gold versions are coming down the pipeline. Now we have a solution to pair with your favorite smartphone or iPhone, and that is the new Aliph Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset. The Aliph Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset with Noise Assassin falls out of my ear, makes it all too easy to hang up on a caller when trying to make sure it’s boned against your jaw. I’ve tried every possible combination of ear hooks and earplugs provided with the unit and none fit properly or comfortably. The only problem I’ve had with it but Its probably me everyone’s different.

When the original Jawbone 2 hit the market at the end of 2006 it was the best sounding Bluetooth headset in the world, with noise cancellation that made all our calls clearer and easier to understand. Unfortunately many people couldn’t get the bulky unit to fit quite right, even with the myriad ear pieces and loops included. The New Jawbone supports all the functions that you would expect from a Bluetooth headset to support. Since the Jawbone only has two buttons, you will need to memorize the button combinations that you will regularly use. We were hoping to see Bluetooth 2.0 in this version but this at least gives us something to look forward to in the future.

Not only would I would recommend the Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset but I think it should be the first thing you should buy after buying a phone. That being said, it does require that you position the headset in the right manner on your ear while touching your cheek. Fail to position it correctly can cause static or distortion! Jawbone’s Noise Assassin is able to achieve this while other headsets cannot.
